Mark Irchai is an internationally recognized concert pianist hailed as a “virtuoso... who perform with gorgeous balance” (Wednesday Music Club). He is particularly well known for unique performances that invite listeners into introspective sound-worlds. Irchai’s program,“Scenes from Childhood,” invites the audience to imagine a view of the world from childhood to adolescence, and from adulthood to the distant memory of childhood. To reflect these perspectives, the pianist has selected pieces by Chick Corea, Penny-Glanville Hicks, Béla Bartók, Federico Mompou, and Robert Schumann.
